What is VoA?
Overview:
Visa on Arrival (VoA) is a temporary entry permit provided by the Indonesian government to foreign nationals intending to visit the country. This streamlined process eliminates the complexities of bureaucratic procedures for various purposes such as social visits, business trips, or leisure.
Application and Purpose:
Foreign nationals can apply for VoA upon arrival at their designated airports, presenting the necessary documents. VoA is versatile, catering to a range of purposes, and can be extended effortlessly through the e-VoA system.
Requirements for Application:
Biodata and Passport:
- Complete applicant’s biodata along with a valid passport.
Passport Photo:
- Passport-sized photo in JPG/JPEG/PNG format.
Email Address:
- An active email address for communication.
Credit Card:
- A valid MasterCard, Visa, or JCB with an active expiration date.
Applying and its Extension:
Using the e-VoA System:
- Visit the official website molina.imigrasi.go.id using a browser on your laptop or a browser application on your mobile device.
- Fill out the available form with accurate personal information.
- Proceed to the payment stage after verifying the provided information.
- Fill in payment details and follow the provided instructions for payment.
- Await the verification process.
Receiving and Printing e-VoA:
- The e-VoA will be sent directly to the registered email address.
- Download and print the e-VoA before departing for Indonesia.
- Upon arrival, immigration officers will scan the QR code on the e-VoA, and after verification, affix the e-VoA sticker to your passport.
Important Considerations:
- While the e-VoA process is faster than other visas, it’s advisable to apply at least 90 days before traveling to Indonesia.

Application Fee for VoA:
- The Visa on Arrival fee is IDR 500,000, payable in US Dollars or Indonesian Rupiah.
Application in Bali:
- The Immigration Office in Bali has introduced a new service allowing foreign tourists to apply for and extend e-VoA through the molina imigrasi website. This initiative aims to enhance tourists’ convenience during their Bali vacations.
